Turkmen Soviet composer. He graduated from the Turkmen State Music College (1958) and the Moscow Conservatory (1963, composition class of A.N. Alexandrov), where he subsequently studied as a graduate student with A.I. Khachaturyan. Author of a symphony, symphonic paintings, chamber-instrumental and chamber-vocal works, music for films and works for piano. Honored Artist of the Turkmen SSR (1979), People's Artist of Turkmenistan (1991, posthumously).
