German opera singer (tenor), poet and sculptor. Initially, he was engaged in sculpture. Later he studied vocals under the guidance of Alois Bayer. In 1853 he made his debut at the "Court Opera" ("Hofoper") in Munich. He sang in Germany and Austria, mainly in operas by Richard Wagner. In 1854-1859 he performed on the stage of the "Court Theater" in Karlsruhe, the "Court Theater" in Hanover and the Vienna Royal Opera ("Wiener Hofoper"). From 1860 to 1869 he sang at the German Theater in Rotterdam (Holland). He was also an artist of the opera houses of Cologne, Konigsberg, Leipzig, Mannheim.
