Canadian singer, born as Jean-Yves Béland but better known under the pseudonym Johnny Farago. He was a member of the group Les Mercedes until 1964, after which he made a career on his own and became popular in the second half of the 1960s, especially thanks to French versions of American hits. An unconditional admirer of Elvis Presley, he spent a large part of his career imitating him and paying tribute to his idol.
