Italian castrato of XVIII. The career of this soprano began around 1757. He was heard in Padua, Naples. In 1771, he was primo uomo in Livorno, Rome, Palermo with the Gabrielli, Turin and Pisa, crowned with the title of virtuoso. He sang regularly with the soprano Bonafini, of whom he was the lover. After performencies in Warsaw in 1776-77, he visited Russia. He sang in St. Petersburg with great success both in concert and on stage.
