Romanian-French pianist, aristocrat and philanthropist. The daughter of a prominent politician Manolache Costache Epureanu. She studied at the Vienna Conservatory, then improved her piano skills under the guidance of Anton Rubinstein. On February 14, 1873, she made her debut with a concert in Bucharest, after which she received a marriage proposal from Prince Alexandru Bibescu, the youngest son of the last ruler of Wallachia, George III Bibescu. Princess Bibescu patronized the young George Enescu, introduced him to the circle of Parisian musicians, and played a duet with him in her salon.
