Swiss pianist and musical pedagogue. He graduated from Geneva Conservatoire with Prix Liszt and soon won the First prize in Paris pianist competition. He toured Switzerland and Europe frequently. From 1912 and for forty years he taught at the Geneva Conservatoire with the title of Professor, having educated several generations of pianists. Among his students was composer and harpsichord player Andrey Volkonsky.
